GlobalMind began in 1985 as Nick Miller, Inc. to serve the land development community. In October 2007 we became GlobalMind. Our focus is to make land projects happen. We work with developers, government agencies and conservation groups on land acquisition, market analysis, due diligence and development.

Steve Gordon
President
Steve Gordon is a GIS professional and licensed surveyor with over 13 years of practice in Florida. Steve’s experience includes the supervision of over 16 million acres of GIS mapping in Florida. He was the project manager for the creation of the Palm Beach County GIS parcel base map. He has supervised the design and implementation of GIS systems for land use modeling for clients such as The Nature Conservancy, The State of Florida and Indian River County, Florida. Steve is a practicing land surveyor and is an expert in the establishment and mapping of corridor rights-of-way and land boundaries. He was directly involved in mapping the right-of-way of every Thoroughfare Road in eastern Palm Beach County for the Palm Beach Countywide GIS. Steve has been an adviser to the Florida Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers on issues of GIS data accuracy. He has served as President of GlobalMind since 2000.
Kim Albritton
Executive Vice-President
Kim Albritton is the second ranking manager at GlobalMind. As part of the firm’s core leadership team she is responsible for design, implementation and oversight of GlobalMind’s business, project management, client relations and quality review systems. In 2005 and 2006 she lead the implementation of GlobalMind’s project control system, resulting in a 40 percent increase in firm productivity and a 50 percent reduction in the time required to develop new project managers in the firm. As Executive Vice-President Kim manages the firm’s operational Vice-Presidents and project managers.
Stephen Clancy
Vice-President
Stephen Clancy is a licensed surveyor and Certified GIS Professional with four years of university teaching experience and seven years of professional practice. He specializes in the design and implementation of geographic analysis models. Stephen has developed GIS analysis models for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Highlands County, Florida, The Nature Conservancy and private clients. Notably, Stephen designed and implemented a 30 variable land use and acquisition model used to prioritize conservation land acquisitions across Florida. The results of the analysis are regularly updated and used by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection - Division of State Lands to inform the Governor and Cabinet (Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund) on land acquisition decisions.
Tim Whitaker
Vice-President
Tim Whitaker is a licensed surveyor and GIS professional with seven years of practice experience. He specializes in the design and implementation of geographic information systems. Tim has developed GIS data models for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Highlands County, Florida, The Nature Conservancy, the South Florida Water Management District and private clients. He manages over 500 Gigabytes of data in GlobalMind’s enterprise geodatabase. Tim has also developed simple Internet map viewers for non-technical stakeholders to view and explore GIS data. Tim is currently responsible for the management of over 75 such Internet map sites for GlobalMind clients.
